An active member of SIAARTI, ESICM, ESAIC, and EACTAIC. Past President of EACTAIC 2022-2024. Current Chair, Intensive Care, of ESAIC Forum 3 Organ. Chief Editor of Frontiers cardiovascular medicine, section Intensive Care. Section Editor of Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia. Board member of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia, Seminars of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and Current Anesthesiology Reports, Journal of Anaesthesia, Analgesia and Critical Care. Reviewer for international peer-review journals. Main research interests are in perioperative echocardiography, hemodynamic monitoring, the pathophysiology of hemodynamic changes in septic shock, intensive care, acute heart failure, and ECMO assistance. Invited speaker at international meetings, congresses, and echocardiography courses. Author of books and chapters in international books. Author of manuscripts published in peer-review journals.
