Molnar Z.

Prof. Dr. Zsolt Molnar is an anesthesiologist and intensive therapist, currently working at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, and the Centre for Translational Medicine, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary, and holds a part time professorship at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznan, Poland, and also a visiting professorship at the University of Novi Sad. From 1st of July 2019 to 31 December 2023 he he held a position of Senior Medical Director at CytoSorbents Europe, Berlin, Germany. From the 1st of January 2024 has been appointed as chair and head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, and chief clinical director of the Department of Intensive Care at Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. His main research interests are: sepsis related hemodynamic changes, fluid therapy, markers of inflammation, extracorporeal cytokine removal in hyperinflammation, oxygen debt and perioperative intensive care. Ha has been a regular invited speaker on large international, regional and national conferences all over Europe and overseas as well, with more than 300 invited international lectures over the last 7 years. He is a member of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. He has been reviewing for most leading journals in intensive care medicine and anesthesiology for several years. He is also the member of the editorial board of several international journals. He has published 225 articles, with a total impact factor of 360.377 Independent citation index of 3746 and a Hirsch-index of 27 and he is ranked as D1 researcher in Medical Sciences in Hungary with a total score of 97% (scientometrics.org, last updated:27-01-2024).
