Fiorentino M.

Marco Fiorentino is an Assistant Professor in Nephrology at the University of Bari Aldo Moro. He obtained his Medical degree in 2009 and completed Nephrology Residency in 2015. He obtained his PhD in the research doctorate "Tissue and Organ Transplantation and cell therapies" at the Department of Emergency and Organ Transplantation - University of Bari in 2018. He worked as Visiting Researcher at the Center for Critical Care Nephrology at the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh (PA, USA) where he focused on AKI biomarkers in septic shock and the impact of AKI and AKI recovery on long-term outcomes. He works as Nephrologist at the Nephrology Unit at the Azienda Ospedaliera-Universitaria Policlinico in Bari, where he is the leader of the AKI&CRRT program for both clinical and research activities.
