Vincenzo Cantaluppi is Associate Professor of Nephrology at tbe University of Eastern Piedmont “A. Avogadro”, “Maggiore della Carità” University Hospital in Novara, Italy. He is the Director of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation Unit at the University of Eastern Piedmont. He is an active clinical investigator in the fields of acute kidney injury, renal replacement therapy in intensive care unit, kidney transplantation. His main lines of basic research are focused on acute kidney injury biomarkers and on development of new potential therapeutic strategies for acute kidney injury based on transplantation of stem cells and derived extracellular vesicles. He is an active member of the SIN-SIAARTI and SIN-SITO joint commissions, national coordinator of the AKI and CRRT Project Group of the Italian Society of Nephrology and co-chair of the European Renal Association (ERA) CEPD for AKI.
