Nicola Disma is Senior Consultant Pediatric Anesthetist and Head of the Research & Innovation Unit at Istituto Giannina Gaslini, Italy. He was Consultant Pediatric Anesthetist at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Senior Lecturer at University College of London-Institute of Child Health, London, UK. He is member of the Research Committee (ex-chairman of the Pediatric Scientific Committee) of ESAIC (European Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care), Executive Board member of ESPA (European Society of Pediatric Anesthesia), and overseas Council member of APAGBI (Association for Pediatric Anesthesia of Great Britain and Ireland). He obtained several large research grants from the Italian Ministry of Health, from the Italian Agency of Medicines (AIFA), from the European Society of Anesthesia (ESAIC) for the Clinical Trial Networks. Nicola Disma is peer reviewer of many indexed journals and Associate Editor of Pediatric Anesthesia.
