Katia Donadello, MD, Associate Professor of Anesthesia and Intensive Care within the Dept of Surgery, Dentistry, Gynaecology and Pediatrics of the University of Verona, Italy, working as Intensivist within the Dept of Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine of the University Hospital Integrated Trust (AOUI) of Verona, Italy. Graduated in Medicine in 2004 and specialized in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine in 2008, Katia Donadello spent more than 6 year clinical and experimental fellowship at the the Dept of Intensive Care of the Erasme University Hospital (Prof. JL Vincent), Brussels, Belgium, where she devoted her interests to the microcirculatory alterations related to sepsis and post-resuscitation phases. Her PhD project concerns and inspects brain microcirculatory modifications during therapeutic hypothermia after resuscitated cardiac arrest. During the years She acquired specific experience in the anaesthesiological and intensive management of several acute pathologies: sepsis, ARDS, heart failure, pancreatitis, organ Tx, extracorporeal assisting device, brain injured patients, critical haematological patients, high risk complex surgery. Professor at the University of Verona where She teaches Anaesthesia and Intensive Care within various courses. She is an active researcher in both experimental and clinical domains and she has published more than 70 peerreviewed papers (H-Index 27, source Scopus). Active lecturer in the ICM field, invited peer-reviewer for various ICM Journals, Pr Katia Donadello is an active member of numerous European medical societies and played a pivotal role in educational programs within ESICM through the development of the ESICM NEXT Committee (2012- 2015) and the ESICM TTM Task Force (2016-2019); She has been the ESICM Italian National Representative (2019-2021) and She is actually the ESICM SoMe Committee Chair Elect (2021-2022).
