I am Professor in Anesthesiologist & Intensivist, Perioperative medicine PhD in 2000 Head of a medicosurgical adult ICU since 2007 in Nice Côte d'Azur university (Hôpital Pasteur 2). 23 ICU beds and17 intermediate ICU beds with 1400 admissio per year. Major type of patients are 1/3 severe trauma patients (Pasteur 2 is the trauma level 1 hospital of the region), 1/3 medical patients and 1/3 surgical patients (abdominal emergencies, neurosurgical patients end thoracovascular surgical patients) Major topic of research focused on metabolic problems : water & sodium disorders, acid base disorders, lactate, AKI & continuous renal replacement
