Current clinical activity: Anesthesia for solid organ transplantation (lung, liver, kidney); Anesthesia for thoracic procedures (lung, trachea, chest wall, oesophagus); Anesthesia for obese patients; Intensive Care in the post-surgical settings Didactic activity: In charge of the methodological and professional training of under-graduated and graduated medical students and of students training in anesthesia and intensive care, including supervision and direct responsibility for medical doctor degrees thesis and specialty thesis in anesthesia and intensive care, University of Milan, Faculty of Medicine. Scientific activity: Coordinator and leader of a multidisciplinary research team composed of anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, residents in anesthesia and intensive care, under-graduated and graduated medical students, biologists and technicians dedicated to the investigation of acute lung injury in the settings of organ donation and transplantation.
