Dr. Ida Di Giacinto is specialized in anesthesiology and intensive care since 2003, when she completed her residency with honors at the University of Bologna. Since 2003, she has been working at the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna - Policlinico Sant’Orsola-Malpighi as anesthesiology and polyvalent ICU consultant. She is a Referent in assessment and revision of discharged patients according to a correct Diagnosis Related Groups attribution (ICD system); an External Expert Advisor of the Independent Ethic Committee of the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Bologna Policlinico Sant’Orsola-Malpighi; a Tutor and Co-relator of residents’ thesis of the School of Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine of University of Bologna-Alma Mater Studiorum. Ida is a Member of the SIAARTI (Italian society of Anesthesia, Analgesia, Resuscitation and Intensive Care). Within the scientific society, she is a Member of the "Airway Management" Task Force Study group (involving organization, scientific production, workshops and training courses on both a national and international level) and a Member of the "Sepsis and Infections in Intensive Care” Study group. In Europe, she is a Member of the EAMS - European Airway Management Society (Italian co-representer since 2015 and Member of subcommittee on EAMS Development and Communication) and of the ESA (European Society of Anesthesiology). She was Speaker in international, national and regional congresses and Author and co-author of published research papers mostly on airway management and critically ill patients.
