Annia Schreiber is a pneumologist and full-time staff physician at the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit of the Salvatore Maugeri Foundation in Pavia, Italy.
She currently holds a research Fellowship on lung and diaphragm ultrasound in weaning at the “Département d’Anesthésie-Réanimation Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière, Faculté de Médecine Pierre et Marie Curie UPMC-Paris VI”, Paris, France.
She is also an instructor of Winfocus Lung Ultrasound Basic and Advanced Courses.
She has authored and co-authored numerous papers and book chapters on lung ultrasound, weaning, mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive), long-term management of tracheostomy.
Her primary clinical and research interests are: lung ultrasound, diaphragm ultrasound, weaning, non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation, sleep-disordered breathing and pulmonary rehabilitation in critically-ill patients.
